RXoutcomes can be considered as a series of self-assessment competencies that both the students and mentors will answer independently based on the performance of the student during a rotation or during instructional classes.. 

These competencies can be mapped directly to one-or-more academic standard, such as ACPE, CAPE, NAPLEX then matched to the school of pharmacy.  Each competency will use a rubric to assess the progress of the student during a rotation.  RXoutcome is also used as a tool to monitor the learning achieved for each objective the student has performed upon finishing a rotation.
